On 28 October 2022, human rights defender Nasta Lojka was detained again. <\/strong>Official reasons for her arrest remain unknown. A \u201cconfession video\u201d featuring Nasta appeared in the Telegram channel \u201cCenter\u2019s Summaries\u201d (\u201c\u0421\u0432\u043e\u0434\u043a\u0438 \u0426\u0435\u043d\u0442\u0440\u0430\u201d in Russian) \u2013 most likely, another channel of the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime and Corruption of the Belarusian Ministry of Internal Affairs (GUBOPiK). Other channels of the agency were blocked by Telegram six times, precisely for publishing such \u201cconfession videos,\u201d recorded under pressure. In the post, featuring the video, Nasta was called a \u201cfamous fraudster\u201d and accused of \u201caiding extremism.\u201d On the same day a search was conducted in Nasta\u2019s apartment. Her electronic devices were confiscated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On 31 October 2022, Pershamaiski district court of Minsk found Nasta guilty of \u201cpetty hooliganism\u201d under Article 19.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus and sentenced her to 15 days in jail. It is the third time the human rights defender was found guilty under this article since September 2022 (see Human Constanta\u2019s statements regarding the first<\/a> and second<\/a> arrest), after Nasta attended a hearing in \u201cRevolutionary Action\u201d group case<\/a>. In total, Nasta has already spent 30 days in jail prior to her most recent sentence. Before the present series of arrests, Nasta was a suspect in a criminal case connected to \u201cViasna\u201d human rights center activities (see respective Human Constanta\u2019s statement<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
