Starting from August 1, 2024, the List of working professions (career servant positions) for which foreigners and stateless persons without permanent residence permits in Belarus can be employed without restrictions related to the protection of the national labour market has been expanded. This means that the hiring process is simplified.

The simplified procedure for employment in Belarus means that when hiring foreigners for professions indicated in the expanded list, the employer is exempt from the obligation to obtain a special permit to employ foreigners. 

Furthermore, with such a foreigner, any type of employment contract can be concluded:

• an open-ended employment agreement;
• a fixed-term employment agreement;
• a contract.

! Based on the concluded employment contract, the foreigner can obtain a temporary residence permit in Belarus.

The employer is required to notify the Department of Citizenship and Migration of the Minsk City Executive Committee or the regional police department in writing within 3 working days from the date of signing or terminating the employment contract with such a foreigner. 

Failure to comply with this obligation may result in the employer being held administratively liable.

– Press operator;

– Leather press operator;

– Building maintenance and repair worker;

– Leather and sheepskin stretcher;

– Nurse;

– Mechanical assembly worker;

– Car repair worker;

– Maintenance fitter;

– Leather and fur material and semi-finished product plane operator;

– Raw material, semi-finished product, and product dryer;

– Turner;
