Review of the practice of using “extremist” articles under which citizenship can be revoked

On August 5, 2021 Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree which thoroughly describes the procedure of loss of citizenship for “extremism”. The procedure is provided by the new version of the Law of the Republic of Belarus of August 1, 2002 No. 136-З "On Citizenship of the Republic of Belarus" (hereinafter - the Law on Citizenship).

Human Constanta’s position on the migration crisis in Lithuania

On 13 July 2021 during an emergency session of Lithuania’s parliament, it has passed a resolution, which proposes to qualify undocumented migrants crossing the Belarusian-Lithuanian border as participants of a hybrid attack of Belarus against Lithuania. The document does not define the term “hybrid attack” and does not qualify such notion from the international law viewpoint.
