Since 2020, our bi-weekly newsletter has provided essential updates on the human rights situation in Belarus, free of charge. Thanks to your readership and engagement, we have been able to shed light on critical issues, inform the global community, and amplify the voices of those who need to be heard. For the past 5 years, political repressions in Belarus have been incessant, and included the disbanding of Human Constanta amid an en masse crackdown on civil society and the sentencing of our dear colleague Nasta Lojka to 7 years in prison for doing her human rights work.
More challenges to human rights work were brought due to the rapidly shifting funding landscape. Due to the recent freeze in U.S. government funding, we must find new ways to sustain our work and continue delivering high-quality bi-weekly bulletins, carefully tailored to the context of human rights in Belarus, as affected by the ongoing crisis. To ensure the continuation of this vital resource, we are transitioning to a paid subscription model. Next week you will receive the extended newsletter as usual.
